What is Personal Injury

There are two basic types of personal injury cases. The first involves claiming damages from the insurance company. This is called a compensatory claim. In contrast to punitive damages, which are meant to punish the defendant for their reckless or negligent behavior, compensation claims are generally only filed for compensatory damages.
